Always Never Not Do a Half Time Team Talk!

Always Never Not Do a Half Time Team Talk!

At the risk of Rugby World Cup clichés…

Lets say England are 12-0 up at half time.

Stuart Lancaster will hold a half time team talk –  the principle intent to ensure that the current margin of victory is held and or built on.

Lets say England are 0-12 down at half time.

Stuart Lancaster will hold a half time team talk – the principle intent to ensure that there is a plan to turn things around and secure domination.

So whether you are in the ascendency or declination the conversation is still required. Makes a lot of simple sense really.

Yet, what I hear is…

We are so far behind we haven’t got time to stop and rethink.

We are doing so well, we haven’t got time to waste stopping for a break.
