Common – Unity & Rudderless Ships…

Common – Unity.

That is the root of the word Community.  A group of people unified around a common objective.

So you are endeavouring to create some community spirit right?

What unifying goal or values holds together your project, Board, tribe, team, community?

If you, or no one else can answer that with gusto and accuracy – there is no common unity. Simples!

As my old boss used to say “Rudderless ships are only good at drifting”.

Sometimes we forget what we have in common and what we are jointly striving for – and major on what divides us. The Common Unity never really goes away, it just lies dormant waiting for someone to resurrect it.

It takes someone switched on enough to notice Unity has been lost and bring it back to life.
