In other words, “Can I point out your flaws, weaknesses, replay failures or shine a light on your hardwired low competence areas. It may provide ME with a feeling of unburdening, but I’m not sure if it really helps you. C’est la vie ”.

No thanks mate. I already know 99.9% of that detail, I don’t need misery regurgitation.


What I do want though is either:


‘Understanding, which mainly involves you saying very little and just ‘being there’ whilst I process events’.

‘Or, if I make a direct request, can you give pointers to aid me being a better version of myself’.
